Etimologia

Il nome proprio della specie è in onore del dottor mweqA. R. Wallace che raccolse l'esemplare nei pressi di mwegSarawak alcuni anni prima della descrizionecite-ref-opcambridge1896b-1-0[1]

Distribuzione

La specie è stata rinvenuta in mwgqBorneocite-ref-araneidae-2-0[2].

Tassonomia

La denominazione presente sul lavoro originale, a pag.1009, è mwiaFriula wallacii, da considerarsi un refusocite-ref-opcambridge1896b-1-1[1].

Dal 1896 non sono stati esaminati altri esemplari, né sono state descritte mwjgsottospecie al 2014cite-ref-araneidae-2-1[2].
